Crankshaft Material: Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI )
Iron Standards: ASTM 897M and EN1564 standard grades. The qualities of the products are according to the GGG90 and DIN-1693-1973 standards.
Moulding process: "SHELL" method.
ADI - group of heat treated cast irons, competes favourably with steel forgings, especially for heavy-duty parts where reliability is paramount. It is used to upgrade from standard ductile irons, and as a substitute for manganese steel and nickel-hard materials. When strength is required ADI is particularly cost-effective: tensile and yield values are twice those of standard ductile iron; fatigue strength is 50% higher and it can be enhanced by shot peening or fillet rolling. The austempering heat treatment converts ductile iron to austempered ductile iron (ADI), bringing about excellent strength, toughness, and fatigue characteristics.
Generally, below steps are applied during the production of the GL Crankshafts.
On the first step of the production chemical combination and spectrometer analyses are made. The quality control like the physical and the mechanical parts of the products are made on each critical production step and so on.

Crankshaft hardening
- The crankshaft hardness after induction hardening:

Packing
Firstly, the crankshafts are greased with preventive oil against rust. Then they are wrapped with wax paper against oxidation/rust. And after all finishes the crankshafts are being packed with wooden boxes.
